Nature Tales For Pre-schoolers
Are you looking for something fun to do with your child while they’re out of school? Every other Thursday, the Burgess-Shadbush Nature Center is holding “Nature Tales For Pre-schoolers” during this hour-long event, a story will be read to your kids. Each story will teach them about the wonders of nature and is sure to keep them captivated the entire time.
This event is great for children who are between the ages of 3-5. The experience is only $2 and also includes a snack and craft or outing. Register for our next session soon because spots are limited.
Saturday Farmers Market
Shelby Township holds their Farmer’s market every Saturday from mid-May to early October. It features many local venders who are selling goods such as fruits, vegetables, and flowers. Our annual farmers market is a great way to support our community and discover local small businesses.

Annual Christmas Aglow Tree Lighting on the Municipal Grounds
The holidays are a wonderful time of year, and Shelby Township hold multiple events year to make the season even brighter. Christmas, in particular, is a holiday that holds a special place in many of our citizens’ hearts.
Our Annual Christmas Aglow Tree lighting is held on the Municipal grounds. It’s held at the beginning of December and is a great way to kick off the holiday season. It features a Christmas tree lighting, a visit from Santa, and much more. Visit the city’s website for more details.
Have you ever wondered how the pollination process works or just want to learn more about nature? Come to the Pollination Celebration to learn from beekeepers themselves about how honey is created and why pollination is so essential.
