Invisalign® at Oakland Family Dental
If you’re looking for a comfortable and discreet alternative to braces, Invisalign® may be the dental alignment solution best for you. Invisalign® utilizes cutting-edge technology to eliminate the time and hassle it takes to align your teeth while also transforming your smile in as little as three months.
How Much Does Invisalign® Treatment Cost?
Invisalign® treatment can be different for each patient depending on how many teeth need to be moved and which tooth it is. Dr. Allain will examine the intricacy of your mouth and distinguish how many aligners you need in order to discuss how much your treatment will cost. Invisalign® typically ranges from $3,000 and up, but more precise prices can be considered at your consultation.
The Invisalign® Process
After your consultation with Dr. Sheehan, the first step to your perfect smile is to scan your mouth and create a 3D image of your teeth and gums. With Invisalign®, there is no need to make molds of your teeth because our advanced technology uses these 3D images to monitor the progress of each individual tooth over the course of your treatment.
Before your treatment begins, Dr. Sheehan can use this advanced software to show you how your new aligned smile will look. Once the design of your aligners is completed, they are masterfully crafted using 3D printing and SmartTrack® material. Once your aligners have been custom-made, all you need to do is wear them for 20 to 22 hours a day for best results.
Comfortable and Convenient
Invisalign® has successfully shaped over five million smiles. Unlike other brands, Invisalign® is incredibly comfortable and is precision-trimmed to ensure the aligners don’t cut your gums during use.
Other alignment solutions, such as braces, can cause unnecessary challenges for patients seeking dental alignment. Many patients also feel self-conscious when wearing braces. Additionally, braces may create problems such as broken wires, more complicated dental hygiene, and restrictions in diet, which Invisalign® aims to avoid.
Caring for Your Aligners
With Invisalign®, you can eat all of your favorite foods, brush and floss your teeth like you are used to, and remain confident that your aligners are almost invisible to those around you. Every night, you should rinse your aligners with water and gently brush them to keep them fresh and clean.
Each aligner is worn for one to two weeks. During your checkup every six to eight weeks, you will pick up the next batch of aligners. Each new set of aligners may feel tighter with more pressure during the first few days, but that is normal. Your Invisalign® aligners are simply working to shift your teeth to their desired position.
