COVID-19
Changes at Oakland Family Dental

1. Waiting Room

The waiting room is now your car. Upon arrival, please park in the back lot and give us a call so we may come out and assess you. We will ask you a few questions about your health and exposure, take your temperature, and give you a sanitizing wipe before entering the facility.

2. What to Bring

Please bring a face covering and wear it until you are in the dental chair. If you are a new patient, please also bring your insurance cards and ID. Also, due to all the protective gear we have to wear now, the office is kept pretty cool. If you get cold easily, please bring a sweater so you can be comfortable.

3. In-Office Changes

In each room, we have installed surgically clean air scrubbers as well as dental suction units. These collect droplets and aerosol particles right at the patient’s mouth so they don’t spread. The doctor, all the hygienists, the assistants, and clinical staff are now also wearing PAPR’s (Powered Air Purifying Respirators) to ensure everyone is protected.

4. Recent Vacation?

In order to mitigate the spread of the virus, we ask that anyone who has been out of state in the last 2 weeks gives us a call to reschedule their appointment for a later date. This is how we make sure everyone stays safe. We thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.
